Why Do I Crave Garlic?

There are a lot of manganese, copper, selenium, and vitamins B6 and C in garlic. LivingWhole.org says that a person who craves garlic may not be getting enough of these vitamins and minerals in his diet.

To work well, the human body needs a wide range of nutrients. About 15% of the recommended daily amount of manganese is found in garlic. Manganese helps make bones, keep skin healthy, and keep blood sugar in check. Selenium is important for healthy reproduction and the thyroid. Vitamin C is important for normal growth, development, and immune support, and vitamin B6 is important for the brain to make hormones. If someone has strong cravings for garlic, he or she should talk to a doctor and think about whether or not they are missing a certain nutrient.
