Which Bull Killed Lane Frost?

During Cheyenne Frontier Days in 1989, professional bull rider Lane Frost passed away from wounds he received while mounting the bull Takin’ Care of Business. After Frost got off the horse, the bull struck him again from behind, breaking one of his ribs and finally piercing a major artery.

Doctors at the hospital declared Lane Frost dead after learning that his heart had suffered irreparable harm. In the competition that took his life, he achieved a posthumous third-place finish.

Regarding the bull, Takin’ Care of Business participated in the 1990 National Finals Rodeo once more. For the remainder of his life, he was retired to stud; he passed away in 1999.
