The Baton Rouge TWIC card centre is situated across from the PARC at Claycut Bayou development at 4305 Bluebonnet Boulevard. Nearly 10 miles outside of Baton Rouge in Brusly, Louisiana, at 400 W. Saint Francis St. is another TWIC registration facility.
The credential known as a TWIC, or transportation worker identification credential, contains a worker’s fingerprints and photo. Anyone with unaccompanied access to the locations and boats covered by the Maritime Transportation Security Act is issued a TWIC card.
Longshoremen, workers at port facilities, truckers, and merchant marines with Coast Guard credentials are all included in this. Most TWIC cards have five-year expiration dates as of 2015.
