McDowell earned with a degree in Art History from Wake Forest University in 1991. She began her career as a financial journalist in the newsletter branch of Institutional Investor, an international business publication. She also authored the personal finance column “Dear Daden” for the financial news website The Street, SmartMoney magazine, and SmartMoney.com. McDowell started her career at FOX in 2003 as a regular guest on “Cashin’ In” and as a business correspondent for “Your World with Neil Cavuto” in 2003. In September 2007, McDowell joined the FOX Business Network as an anchor.
McDowell co-hosts “Markets Now” as of 2015, while continuing to appear frequently on Neil Cavuto’s show and “Imus in the Morning.” She has also won the ‘Cashin’ In Challenge’ at least three times and appeared on “Cavuto On Business” as a panellist.
Mary Dagen McDowell was born in Campbell County, Virginia, in 1969. Since 2005, she has been married to current FOX economist, advisor, and analyst Jonas Max Ferrer.
