When Can You Buy Alcohol in Michigan?

Alcohol may be purchased at any time in the state of Michigan, except between 2:30 a.m. and noon on Sundays and between 2:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. from Monday through Saturday. Only establishments with a Sunday Sales AM permission may sell alcoholic beverages between 7 a.m. and noon on Sundays.

This regulation applies to all establishments, including restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and liquor stores, that sell alcoholic beverages. Stores that sell alcohol and are open 24 hours a day restrict access to the areas of the store that contain alcohol until the legal selling hours.
