Laura Ingraham had breast cancer in an early stage. In April 2005, following the finding of a small lump in her right breast, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer requiring surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
According to the American Cancer Society, radio talk show personality Laura Ingraham is one of the 2,4 million breast cancer survivors in the United States as of 2015. However, Ingraham prefers the term “thriver” to “survivor” and continues to promote and participate in breast cancer awareness efforts. During an interview with Stacey Gualandi, Ingraham remarked that her battle with cancer had provided her with a new and more positive outlook on life.
