What Manufacturers of Glasses Frames Does Costco Carry?

For prescription eyeglass frames, Costco Optical carries the designer labels Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Mikli, Burberry, and Bebe in addition to its well-known Kirkland brand. Prescription eyeglasses frames under the Tod’s brand are also available at Costco Optical. These shop’s non-prescription reading glasses are made by Design Optics and Foster Grant.

Kirkland brand frames from Costco typically cost less than those from fancy companies. The designer brands available may not be the newest trends and may even be discontinued.

Customers can buy the frames of their choice from Costco or another retailer for a reasonable price, and the Costco optician will install the lenses to the glasses. Unlike several other big warehouse clubs, Costco requires an annual membership to purchase an eye exam from Costco Optical.

A Consumer Reports study of nearly 19,500 readers found that Costco had the highest overall satisfaction among eyeglass retailers. Comparing the wholesale optical chain to other, significantly more expensive optical chains, it received positive evaluations for both service and price. The range of accessible frames, however, was deemed mediocre.

To help customers pick frames that flatter their face shapes, Costco provides a Face Shape Guide. Available frame designs include aviator, navigator, rounder, oval, and geometric. There are also square and rectangular designs available.
