What Is the Way to Remove Window Chalk?

Window chalk, often known as car window paint, can be cleaned using soap, water, and, if necessary, WD-40 or acetone. Writing “Just Married” on the rear window of a vehicle is a typical application of window chalk.

Several actions must be taken in order to remove window chalk.

Using a razor, the individual must first scrape off as much chalk as possible. This removes the majority of the chalk, facilitating the next processes.
The window should then be cleansed with soap and warm water. If the chalk is water-based, it will clean the window without the need for additional processes.
If the chalk is oil-based, there are two methods for removing any residue. You can either use WD-40 or acetone. To clean the window with WD-40 lubricant, a thin layer should be spread with a cloth. After 10 to 20 minutes, the paint should have dissolved, and the area can be cleansed with soap and water once more. This technique may require repetition. To use acetone, one must first ensure that the location is adequately ventilated and then don rubber gloves. Using a dry cloth to rub acetone into the chalk should immediately dissolve it. Once the oil-based chalk has been removed, the window should be cleansed with soap and water once again.
