What Is the Quiche Recipe from Ina Garten?

The goat cheese tart from Ina Garten’s quiche recipe is made with eggs, heavy cream, flour, butter, and soft goat cheese. This dish has a buttery crust with a mixture made of eggs, cream, cheese, and fresh herbs.

1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt are blended to make the quiche’s base. Add the flour mixture and 12 tablespoons of chunked unsalted butter to a food processor. Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of ice water gradually after pulsing the butter and flour until a crumbly mixture forms.

On a floured surface, knead the dough, roll it into a ball, and place it in the refrigerator, covered, for 30 minutes. Place the dough in a tart pan after rolling it out. The crust should be covered in aluminium foil and weighed down with beans.

After 20 minutes of baking at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, remove the foil and beans and continue baking for 10 more minutes.

Cook 3/4 cups of chopped shallots in 1 tablespoon of butter for 5 minutes while the crust bakes. To make it crumbly, blend 10 1/2 ounces of soft goat cheese with garlic and herbs in a food processor. Add 1 cup of heavy cream, three eggs, 1/4 cup of chopped basil, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/8 teaspoon of butter thereafter.

Once everything has been thoroughly combined, spread the goat cheese and egg mixture over the shallots in the bottom of the crust. For an additional 30 to 40 minutes, bake the quiche.
