What is the Number of Clubs in a Deck of Cards?

In a standard deck of 52 cards, there are 13 clubs. Also, there are 13 hearts, 13 diamonds, and 13 spades.

By the end of the 1400s, playing cards were popular all over Europe. In early European cards, the four card suits were swords, batons, cups, and coins. In the 1480s, the French started making decks of cards with hearts, clubs, diamonds, and spades. By the 1590s, the French cards were the most common cards in Europe.

There used to be anywhere from 48 to 56 cards in a deck. But by the end of the 15th century, most card players agreed that a deck of 52 cards was the best way to play.
