What Is a Healthy Weight for a 5-Foot 2-Inch Female?

Rush University Medical Center’s Body Mass Index chart says that a person who is five feet and two inches tall should weigh between 104 and 131 pounds to be healthy. BMI charts are not an exact science because different body types have different amounts of bone, muscle, and fat.

The BMI chart says that someone who is five feet and two inches tall and weighs less than 104 pounds is underweight, someone who weighs between 136 and 158 pounds is overweight, and someone who weighs more than 164 pounds is obese. The American Cancer Society says that to figure out BMI, multiply your weight in pounds by 703. Then divide your height in inches by your height in inches. A healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9.
