As of 2015, Dr. Phil McGraw’s highest degree is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology; he also possesses a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Before beginning his own television show in 2002, Dr. Phil maintained a private practise and appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Dr. Phil earned his undergraduate degree from Midwestern State University in 1975. Then he attended the University of North Texas, where he earned his doctorate in 1979. He has also published books and led seminars on motivation. Much of his work focuses on interpersonal connections and overcoming life’s challenges.
