Is the DMV Open on Saturday in Florida?

In Florida, most DMV offices aren’t open on Saturdays. Monday through Friday, the office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. But in some places, you may only be able to get limited DMV services on the weekend.

At a DMV office, you can get help with driver’s licences, cars, and traffic tickets, among other things. Driver licence services include things like getting your licence renewed, getting an ID card, getting your licence back, and taking written and skills tests. Motor vehicle services include getting specialty tags for cars, trailers, boats, mobile homes, and mobile homes, as well as disabled parking permits. Most of the time, you pay or fight traffic tickets through the Clerk of Courts.

The hours may depend on the type of service that is needed. For example, in some counties in Florida, DMV offices may be open on Saturdays for services related to motor vehicles but not for services related to driver licences. If you need to pay a traffic ticket, you have to go to the Clerk of Courts. This office is usually open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

In general, people should call their local DMV office to find out when it is open. This will keep you from going to the office on a Saturday only to find that it is closed.
