Q, J, Z, and X are the letters of the alphabet that are used the least in the English language. Each of these letters appears in fewer than 1% of the English language. The letter X is the least prevalent at the start of words among these.
The letter E, on the other hand, is the most commonly used in the English language. It appears in over a quarter of all words. R, N, T, and S aren’t far behind, with S being the most common letter at the beginning of words.
