In Arkansas, how many times may you get married?

In the state of Arkansas, there is no restriction to how many times a person can marry. However, in order to marry again, the person must be divorced from their prior husband.

Couples in Arkansas are required by law to get a marriage licence prior to holding a wedding ceremony. Licenses are valid for 60 days and can be obtained by paying the required cost and presenting acceptable identification, which includes a birth certificate for those under the age of 21 and a current driver’s licence or state identity for those 21 and older.

The state’s legal marriage age is 18. In several regions, however, males aged 17 and females aged 16 or 17 can legally marry with parental authorization.
