The official dimensions of a National Basketball Association or National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball court are 94 feet by 50 feet, or 4,700 square feet. NBA and NCAA use the largest officially sanctioned basketball courts.

The International Basketball Federation and all basic and secondary schools in the United States use smaller basketball courts than the NBA and NCAA. International Basketball Federation courts are approximately 4,520 square feet in size, measuring 91.86 feet by 49.21 feet. High school basketball courts measure 84 feet by 50 feet and have an area of 4,200 square feet, whereas elementary school courts measure 74 feet by 42 feet and have an area of 3,108 square feet.
