A standard cribbage board contains 120 holes. The holes are organised into four rows of 30 apiece. Five-hole clusters are delineated, and each player receives two rows. Traditionally, during a game, players make two trips up and down the board.
Cribbage is generally played with two players, however variations exist with three and four players. The game use 52 playing cards. Two pegs are placed on the board for each player. The pegs, which begin at the edge of the board, are used to mark the players’ scores throughout the game.
