Steve Young, a former NFL quarterback, has won three championship rings in total. As the backup quarterback in Super Bowls XXIII and XXIV, he received two of the rings. As the starting quarterback in Super Bowl XXIX, he received his third ring.
When Steve Young played quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, he earned all of his Super Bowl rings. From 1987 until 1990, while serving as Joe Montana’s backup quarterback, he won his first two rings.
He led the San Francisco 49ers to a 49-26 victory over the San Diego Chargers in Super Bowl XXIX, the season’s grand finale, in 1994. He was also named the game’s Most Valuable Player.
