To prepare Thomas Date Nut Bread, combine 1 1/2 cups of chopped dates with 1 tablespoon of butter in a basin and add 3/4 cup of boiling water. Allow the mixture to cool until it is lukewarm, then add one-third of it to a food processor to make a paste. Add the paste back to the original mixture. Add two eggs, two teaspoons of vanilla, 1/4 cup molasses, 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, and 1/4 cup.
In a another dish, sift together 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Add 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour, then mix.
The date mixture should be placed in the gap you make between the dry ingredients. Mix items thoroughly by stirring. Add 1 cup of chopped walnuts by blending.
Set the oven’s temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Pour the batter into a 9-inch by 5-inch loaf pan that has been generously greased with butter. Until the top of the loaf rises, bake the bread for 50 to 60 minutes.
When the bread is done cooking, take it out of the oven and let it cool in the pan on top of a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before removing the loaf.
