By deducting 21 inches from the men’s pants’ waist measurement, it is easy to convert men’s pants sizes to women’s sizes. Accordingly, a pair of men’s pants measuring 34 inches in length correspond to a size 13 in women’s clothing.
Men’s sizes are based on waist measurements, therefore even after converting the waist measurement, the inseam measurement shouldn’t be altered. But the sizes of women’s clothing, which range from 0 to 24 or larger, have nothing to do with actual body proportions.
Naturally, this means that when converting women’s pant sizes to men’s, the women’s pant size must be increased by 21 inches to account for the men’s waist measurement.
