Streaming entire movies on services such as Megashare is generally legal, according to Business Insider. However, it is prohibited to download any portion of the movie or to display it to a large audience outside the home. Both methods infringe fundamental copyright laws.
According to the company’s website, Megashare is a video streaming network where customers may watch entire episodes and films online for free. To avoid legal issues, Megashare and other streaming services integrate movies and television series from other video streaming websites, so the content is not directly on the streaming website, explains Business Insider. Smaller, secondary sites frequently infringe copyright rules, although larger “search engine” sites are allowed. While viewing it is generally permitted, uploading content is not.
