The standing pilot furnace for home heating known as the Magic Chef Furnace is a product of the Magic Chef appliance company. Although the company no longer makes furnaces, earlier types are still in use.
From the 1970s through 1988, Magic Chef produced its own range of products. Although the Magic Chef brand is still used, Maytag purchased the business in 1988, and the company’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning division was given the moniker Armstrong Air.
After the sale, Armstrong kept making furnaces, and some of the parts are interchangeable. Although Armstrong is no longer in operation, their dealers could still be able to provide parts and upkeep.
